Pics and New Project

Noticed over the weekend that stillvisions posted some more YGO pics from AnimeNext.

This one was my favorite of the pair shots.^_^ novaraven and I were actually trying for dead Cecelia pics. But I failed at playing dead and look like I’m just leaning on Pegasus for a nap. ^_^;; Still, I guess that works, too!



Rest of the pics are on stillvisions’site. My skirt in the last one kind of makes me think of a giant dumpling. XD


Started painting the fabric for Eugenie’s dress and it’s going slowly with all the little rectangles; I’ve gotten in about 10 hours of painting over the past week and I’ve only got the background print on about 2/3 of a yard so far. I’ve used up more than half the jar of paint already, too, so I probably have to run out for more later in the week. Realized there’s only a month until NYAF so I hope I can finish in time. I suppose if I end up short on time, I could just make the jacket later on since there’s a scene where she’s wearing only the dress. ^_^;

Thanks. ^_^ My favorite thing about that costume was probably the huge skirt. I thought it would be fun to be able to sit with all the fabric around me in a circle.

Oh yeah, those kinda fell between the cracks - they were uploaded about a week ago, but then the server died before I could post the update for people to see (and there's more sets awaiting upload) so I put it off until a mega-post ^^;

Anyway, glad you like them, and dumplings are awesome anyway XD

Yay! Awesome pics!

I finally got home from the weekend and now have a day of unpacking and cleaning up after my sister who was home alone and let a tornado go through our kitchen. ^^;

Wish I could be at NYAF, a friend of mine is taking the bus down for it, but I'm in need of a new job again. I'm also getting behind on my sewing right now. Halloween is coming and it's going to be crazy this year.

I don't know if NYAF is particularly worth traveling for unless you really want to meet some of the guests like Amano. Last year, it was pretty dead on Friday and the main focus was on the dealer's room. :-/ It looks like there's some more stuff going on this year but I don't know how much of an improvement it'll be and you have to buy extra tickets for some events.

Plus, the Javits shut down around 10 so we'd get kicked out right after the evening events ended. And the location isn't that convenient for cosplay either since it's several blocks from the subway and there aren't hotels right in that area. I hauled my larger costumes in and changed in the bathroom since you could check coats and bags for a couple of dollars apiece.
