It's Done!

Boy, I’ve really got to try to stop sewing under such tight deadlines. (Okay, and being lazy last week didn’t help. >_>) I haven’t posted for a few days since the wedding reception I’m going to is tomorrow night and I just finished sewing the last button on my dress about an hour ago. ^_^;; It came out pretty well although there are a couple of flaws that I hope aren’t too noticeable. Also, I think I’m going to have to steal the purple underskirt from the peacock dress to wear under it. I was going to wear a long black skirt from my regular wardrobe but they’re turning out to be too long and show below the hem of the new dress. Maybe, I’ll post a pic tomorrow if I have time.

And it seems like now my father finally wants me at the store. He’s been nagging me for a long time to work for the family business but kept putting me off back in the summer although he had said he wanted me to help with bookkeeping. Then, he said he was going to get a new computer system and wanted me to come in after they got it so I could learn to use it. But now that they're so busy, he wants me to come help in the office so his partner (who normally does the office work) can work on other stuff, too. I guess I’ll go in next week and see what they want. By now, I’ve probably forgotten most of the stuff I read about Quickbooks earlier in the year though. -_-;

Kinokuniya called on Monday to say they had received my Petshop of Horrors artbook so I’ll probably try to get into the city on Saturday to pick it up. ^_^

Ah, it's a plastics specialty store. They mostly fabricate custom items from plexiglass like boxes and displays and they've been swamped with orders lately.
