Forgot to post these last time… I only took a few pictures at MangaNext but they’re posted here:

And my brother has a few of his here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/liquid-s2
Went out on Wednesday for Final Fantasy Day (promotional event in Times Square) and saw some of the other local cosplayers. I thought about it but didn’t dress up since my formal Terra is just too fancy for walking around the city. Saw the winners from the FFXII cosplay contest and took a few pictures which are posted here: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v342/LadyoftheThread/Final%20Fantasy%20Day/
Afterwards, I had lunch and visited a Japanese bookstore with
shinei and
xmemoryless, which was fun. I bought the first volume of Shin Petshop of Horrors (sequel that’s currently being published in Japan). I was actually hoping to find volume 2 but they didn’t have it. I’m curious about what’s going to happen in the sequel but haven’t really been able to find any info in English other than a site which has several chapters translated. Was also looking at a couple of Japanese crafts magazines. They had such pretty quilts and beaded jewelry but I didn’t buy them since I had no idea how to read the instuctions. ^_^;;
Otherwise, the week has just been spent around the house, catching up on some things. I’ve sorted through lots of mail (I think we must get as much as 2 or 3 families combined!), written checks for bills, and done some filing (still have more to do later). And it seems I can’t quite get away from sewing completely. XD My mother gave me a couple of pairs of jeans to be shortened for my father; he’s only as tall as me so whenever he buys new pants, they have to be cut and re-hemmed. I’ve finished with those but I think she has more for me to do.
Started on my needlepoint but haven’t done much yet. I need to order some supplies that I don’t have on hand, too, since NYC lacks good needlework shops.
Still have to figure out when and where I can get better pictures of my Count D costume. Inside the house is too much of a mess to be really good for photos and it’s starting to get chilly out. I’d kind of like to do photos at the botanic gardens again since they do a Halloween event the weekend before (meaning I can walk around in costume and get pics taken without seeming weird) but late October weather seems kind of unpredictable and it might be too cold by then.

Date: 2006-10-15 04:36 am (UTC)Botanic gardens would be perfect for the Count D costume, please post them if you do a photoshoot on Halloween. Maybe the weather would be like last year Halloween, freakishly warm 70.
