Got started on sewing the peacock dress today. The zipper has been put in and the main part of the dress seems to fit fine. I think I should be able to finish the main construction in 2 or 3 more days if I don’t come across any big problems. ^_^

And I decided to take some pictures of my Count D wig and makeup earlier since I had just done my nails. Makeup scheme is based off the manga covers where his nails are always white (they seem to be painted various colors in the anime screenshots I’ve seen) and he often has pink eye makeup. Hmm… My nails still look kind of short in this although they’re about 3/4" now. It’s much more obvious they’re long if you see them from the back. I think when I wear the costume, I might go a shade lighter with the foundation (this is the one I usually wear) since I’m looking at the pictures and it seems a bit off to me with the other makeup. Oh, and the outfit is just an old Chinese dress I pulled out of the closet. Not my actual costume, of course.

Here’s the larger of the fake birds I bought yesterday

And the birdcage with the smaller fake bird. I need to put this one on the perch better. There are wires coming from the feet so it can attach to something but the door and the spaces between the bars are so small that it’s difficult to get at the wires and attach it properly. I think I need tweezers for this!
