Terra Preview

Just thought I’d post a little preview of my Terra costume. It’s not the greatest picture since I was lazy and didn’t put on foundation. ^_^; I was originally just trying stuff on to see how it all looked together and what I still needed to adjust but decided to get a quick picture, too.

I still need to trim the top of my armwarmers to match the top of the dress and tweak my scarves a bit after I go out tomorrow to get some more trim. Also, I need to finish figuring out my make up. I’ll probably use the red lipstick and coppery eyeshadow I have on in the pic but not sure if I’ll add anything else. Doing makeup just isn’t one of my talents and I seem especially bad at eye makeup. >_>;

Hmmm, I like it! I was thinking something was missing, but when I re-read and saw the reference to the scarves, then it all fell into place.

Good luck with the rest of the work! Hope the makeup's not a huge issue for you!

Thanks. :-) Actually, something is missing since Terra often has shoulder armor and, less frequently, a cape, in pictures. I had some ideas about pieces to represent those but didn't have time to actually work them out. ^_^;

I did have the scarves on though. They just weren't in camera range because they were tied around my waist! XD;

I think you look absolutely awesome! Wow! It came out awesomely! ^^ I love the wig, too, and the band around your forehead.

I wonder if you'll meet Lizzie at Otakon. XD She's planning to go as Conan, I think, and use a Sherlock Holmes type outfit that Conan wore on the cover of manga #1.

Thanks. ^_^ I like what I came up with for the tiara thingy. The wig might get another tweak though since the bangs were getting into my eyes a bit.

I have a few different costumes planned for the weekend but feel free to come over and say hello if you spot me. No one else in my family wanted to come so I'll probably be wandering alone for most of the con. ^_^;

I tend to forget to turn my cell phone on since I don’t use it much ^_^; so the best thing would be to pick a place and time if you would like to meet up. :-) Are you going all 3 days and only cosplaying Friday? What/where is the Otaku Café you mentioned? This is going to be my first Otakon so I’m not familiar with all the things they have there. ^_^;

I’m planning to attend a few photoshoots by the fountains so one of the best ways to find me would probably be to come by at those times. I’m wearing the costume I posted a preview of in this entry for a 4:00PM Amano Final Fantasy photoshoot on Fri.

Okay. Hope to see you then. :-) Just a warning though... I have a feeling that the Fruits Basket group might turn out to be very small so it might take a bit of looking to find us among whatever other groups are meeting at that time. ^_^;; I'll definitely be there though!
