Today was my sister’s birthday. Since she didn’t want to go out to eat, my mother invited a whole bunch of relatives over for a dinner party and went on a cooking spree (Chinese food, of course) that I helped slightly with. The results of this are pictured below. It’s only about half the food though since there was a second table with an identical set of dishes and the steamed flounder was still in the wok. o_o;

I got finished sequining the center front panel for my Terra dress yesterday. I prepared fabric for the left front panel this morning, deciding and marking where the flowers are to be. I’m planning to do 5 each on the front side panels and probably a similar number on the back side panels. The back panels will probably just have a couple of flowers on the skirt because after accounting for seam allowances and the zipper, the bodice part on those pieces are only about 3” wide. And that isn’t really enough room to work with. So, that should be about 24 more flowers (including the one I’m in the middle of now) and then I can cut my fabric and actually sew the dress. Hopefully, I won’t be incredibly bored of the flowers by that time. ^_^;

Well, there was supposed to be about 20 for dinner but a few people stayed home because they or their kids weren't feeling well. So, it turned out to be more like 15 for dinner. Lots of leftovers... ^_^;;

Foood! X3 Wow, that all looks good. It makes me hungry. What are the things in the center, that are kinda curled around?

That's good that you're making progress with the Terra dress! It sounds very complex.

It's mushrooms, abalone, and sea cucumber. Sea cucumbers look so gross and gooey when they're cooked that I've never wanted to try any. ^_^;;

For an instant, I thought I was looking at an old photo from Chinese New Years!

Holy smokes! There was a *second* table?!

Yeah, we couldn't all fit around the kitchen table so my mother put a folding table in the living room and had a set of the same dishes in there. She always cooks way too much when inviting people over for dinner. ^_^;
