I hope they're done now...

This week, the contractors were painting in my brother’s room, including the wooden floors, so it wasn’t even possible to hook up the connection in the evenings. Hopefully, they’re done in there now because whatever they use on the floors really stinks! x_x;
There’s only a week left to Anime Boston and I feel rather unprepared since I haven’t been able to get online to look up stuff like schedules or info on bus tickets. (And over the weekend, I dreamed I showed up at cosplay chess rehearsal in costume but having completely forgotten to do makeup for my character. >_>;)
The Terra improvements are moving along although a bit slowly. Stopped by the Rag Shop several days ago when my parents were getting groceries (it’s in the same building as the supermarket). They had taffetas on sale and there was one about the same shade as my pink scarf so I decided I might as well redo that piece. I did another hand beaded trim on this one, loops of small gold seed beads with Swarovski crystals in fuschia and fire opal at the bottom of the loops.
The dress has been taken in but not sewn back together yet because I wanted to add a couple of sequined flowers to the back. However, I was out of gold sequins so I had to go out to get more (and pick up a few more supplies for Sora). Need to do those flowers and then put the neckline back together.
Finally, found my necklace and got it fixed, too. I’m thinking of restringing my circlet on beading wire. The current version looks really pretty with little metal links between the beads but they tend to snag my wig very easily. I’d put little gold seed beads in between the larger beads to replace the metal bits if I were to restring it.
