Probably about time...
Jul. 11th, 2006 07:37 pmFinished organizing the mail over the weekend. Also, I got the rest of my fabric panels prepared for sequining. I’m now working on one of the side back pieces and have 11 more flowers to go after I finish the current one. (And you’re all sick of hearing about these darn flowers, aren’t you? ^_^;;) Another week and a half or so and they should be done! Then I can sew and work on some of the other accessories. I don’t think I like the pink bow I made back in February anymore; I think it doesn’t match that well with what I’ve done since then. I might do a new one from the pink chiffon I bought last week if there’s time before Otakon.
And after 8 or 9 years of talking online, I should finally be meeting a couple of friends from my cross stitch e-mail group this Friday! ^_^ One of them is coming up to NYC from Arkansas for work-related meetings and she has a few hours free Friday afternoon. So, the one guy in our group, who is now editor for a new quilting magazine, is coming into the city from NJ to meet us. Also coming is a scrapbooking friend of the lady from Arkansas. We’ve picked a time to meet at her hotel but I’m not sure what we’re doing yet. We might go sightseeing or just find someplace to sit and chat over coffee.
