Sakura Matsuri outfit

Here’s a photo of my outfit from Sakura Matsuri, taken by
dressdragn. So, I basically started with the idea of making a Western style dress in Japanese print fabric. And I wanted it to be cute and pink although I wasn’t trying for a lolita look or any actual Japanese fashion style. The dress is fully lined and I made a petticoat to go under it since I thought it would look cuter if it was poofy and the patterns on the fabric would show better. To give it another Japanese touch, I made a pair of sakura kanzashi out of leftover dress fabric to wear in my hair. I like how this came out although I think it would have been cuter if I had bangs; I couldn’t find the clip-in set I had for Tohru and Youka. -_- I’ll probably rewear this dress at cons for going out to dinner/later at night when I don’t feel like wearing actual cosplay. Might add more sakura accessories sometime since I still have fabric left.
