AB Petshop group update and new costume progress

Three weeks until Anime Boston so I guess it’s time for another PSOH group update. A few people can no longer make it to AB or postponed their costumes. (Will miss you guys. ;_; I’m already planning to do PSOH again at AnimeNext with kiwi_lady, so we can try for then if you’re still interested in doing the costumes.) I think we’re left with:

Since it’s getting close to the convention, I’d like to pick a more exact time for the group. ^_^ So far, no one has objected to Saturday morning/early afternoon so I’m putting up a poll with a few options for then. Please vote only if you’re in the group or are interested in taking pictures. My brother has already agreed to take some photos for us but other photographers are welcome, too. I would love to have some other takes on it. ^_^

Also, does anyone have a suggestion for location? My brother and I weren’t sure what would be a good spot since the fountain area wouldn’t be open and it’ll probably still be cold outside anyway. Should we just meet some place easy to find and then move depending on what ideas we come up with?

Finally, a progress pic of my latest project. ^_^ The white flower is an iron-on appliqué and I’m hand stitching iridescent white sequins around it to conceal/protect the edges. I would have preferred a stitched appliqué but I can’t manage all the curves neatly on a sewing machine. (I can do really precise stuff by hand but my coordination with the machine isn’t nearly as good. :-/) I tried painting the design, too, but the fabric didn’t seem to take the paint very well and it didn’t come out smoothly. Should be able to start on actually cutting out and sewing the dress this weekend. Have other pieces done, too, but haven’t taken a picture yet.

For deciding a meeting place, yeah that sounds like a good idea. I would say we could meet in front of the Au Bon Pain but usually it's kind of crowded (especially around noon) but that's my only idea for a meeting place. The time really depends on if we want to go eat lunch together or not.

And also, how many pets are there going to be in chess? For all I know I'm the only one.

Au Bon Pain might be a good spot because we could easily go into the con center or into the Sheraton depending on where we want to take photos.

Hmm... Looks like noon is the prefered time so far so we could see if people want to have lunch after photos. I wouldn't want to try eating anything too messy in my D costume though. ^_^;;

And you're the only one who applied for chess as a pet. I believe the others are still working on their costumes.

For PSoH time I will go with what the majority wants. I was figuring I would plan around this group - as in if I am not a room key holder I will be in this outfit for a good bit and skipping other shoots. I picked noon just because it seemed to be a good time. I know Naruto is meeting @ 2 at Au Bon Pain so I would avoid that time if meeting there.

Ah, okay. Thanks for letting me know. :-) I can basically do any time during the earlier part of Saturday but wanted to check what was good for everyone. Looks like noon is being favored so far and Au Bon Pain seems like it might be convenient since we could move either into the con center or the Sheraton from there.
