You're so lucky to live nearby to a good fashion district! It takes me months just to find fabric and trim.

D's amnesia thing was really funny. Hey if we ever do end up at the same con, I can just throw on my longer wig and be Daddy D. If we had the same robe it would make for some interesting pics. I was thinking of doing his exact outfit, the one he dies in, but then I'd be too tempted to ruin it with bullet holes and gorey make-up and it would just be creepy wandering around like that. ^^;
I currently have the silk I need for D's museum outfit. I had to compromise a bit on the vest print, couldn't find excatly what I needed but I did get close. Thats the simplest one I have planned and may not get to it for a while yet.
I also have a composite pheonix robe started. It's a cross between the robe he wore when he was giving Chris his "sexual education" lesson and the one he wore when his "sister" came and Jill was there with Leon. This robe is currently stalled because I have to decide on how/what I'm using to make the pheonix design.
Aside from those two I'm working on a lot of Trinity Blood costumes for other people. They will eat all my time after Xmas, so during xmas break I'll be trying to work a little more on my D robes. I want something new for Sakura season and D always looks so pretty with the blossoms.
For some strange reason people think Count D is gothic so I want to do some lighter coloured robes. I have goths and lolitas coming up to me all the time at cons when I wear my black dragon robe and complimenting me on how gothic I look and how count D is such an emo character.
My reaction to that is usually... "So you'd like to buy a hampster you say? I have a cute wittle fuzzy one right here. His name is Mr. Buttons and he's just brimming full of love, hope and dreams! All you have to do is sign the contract!" *creepy yet overly cheerful D smile*
They usually back away from me slowly after that. ^^;
I guess they've just never seen D in full colour or realize that the majority of his outfits are blue green or white and not all black and red. Yeah he is really pale but not cause he's trying to be gothic. And his nails are long because it's a sign that he's high class and doesn't have to work hard, (not that he's being girley like Leon acuses him) he doesn't go painting them black and doing the emo thing either. >
