Weekend stuff

Went to Castle Point Anime Con yesterday; hadn’t gone to such a tiny con in a long time and I’d never been to a college con before. My father drove and he decided to wander around with me part of the day. Mainly, I went to visit with neoangelwink and athena_chan in the artist’s alley and get some new photos of Ekaterina before it got too warm out. My brother stayed home to work on other things so he suggested TheBigTog, who he knew from Flickr for photos. Fortunately, he had time despite the very short notice so we did a shoot around the campus. ^_^ The rest of the day was mainly just wandering around. And I explained pocket hoops to a few cosplayers who were curious about what I did to give my skirts that shape.

And it seems like I might be looking at a third weekend in a row of cosplaying. ^_^;; My parents were saying the other night that if we wanted to go see the cherry blossoms, we should go next Sunday. With the unusually warm weather lately, they think the blossoms will all have come and gone by the time of the actual festival. And the Brooklyn Botanic Garden's site shows that nearly all their cherry trees have already started to bloom. So, D kimono photos with the cherry trees might have to be moved up.
