The oddities of tax forms...
Mar. 2nd, 2007 01:23 pmSo, yesterday I was sorting through the family’s tax forms, trying to see if we had everything we need to give to the accountant. (There’s quite a few since there are five of us and my mother tends to open little accounts everywhere, which makes me glad I’m not the one who has to calculate it!) Anyway, I found some forms for “Miscellaneous Income.” Some of the boxes on that were pretty normal, stuff like “rents,” “royalties,” and “other income.” But there was also stuff like a box marked “fishing boat proceeds.” O_o; Do enough people actually get income from something as random sounding as that for it to deserve its own box on the form?
Cosplay-wise, I really need to get moving again since I’ve got a fair amount to do the next few months. I have about a month an a half to finish Ayame, which is mostly the coat. I’ve got a pattern but it’s going to take quite a few alterations before I can actually start sewing it.
Then, I’d like to go back and do some work on my formal Terra for late May. Anime North’s masquerade allows even original costumes so I’d like to compete with it there since most craftsmanship contests will only take recreations. The main thing I’d like to do is take in the dress a bit since it still seems too big and the neckline tends to curve away from my torso a bit. Probably add a bit to the scarves, too, and maybe devise a way for them to stay up without safety pins. (Having the scarves fall down at Otakon was embarrassing considering how long I spent on that costume. ._.;) The necklace needs to be repaired since it tangled in my wig and broke when I wore it at MangaNext. And the wig could use some work since the curls have gotten rather tangled from my bow and the circle of beads that goes around my head.
And after that, I’m hoping to finish Sora for AnimeNext in early July. It’s barely started and I have a lot of embellishment I want to do on this one. I’ve done both the masquerade and hall contest at AnimeNext the last two years but I think I’m going to have to choose between them this year because I probably won’t have time to do another competition-worthy costume by then.
