Packing for AnimeNext is moving along somewhat and should be finished tomorrow. I think I need a bigger suitcase. Towels, sheets, and pajamas take up like three quarters of the space inside. O_O; And I still need to add clothes for my brother and some of my costume accessories. It’s a good thing I won’t need much in terms of normal clothes since a couple of my costume dresses can pass as normal clothes without the accessories.
My father should be driving me over to the con on Friday morning although I’m not sure what time yet. I hope I’ll be able to check into the hotel without waiting long because I have a bunch of props/accessories that I’ll have to carry either because they’re delicate or just won’t fit into the suitcase.
Costume schedule should go something like this…
Friday:
-wear my Namine dress to the con
-change into Ayame after lunch for the 3PM Fruits Basket photoshoot (assuming I have the hotel room by then ^_^;)
-change back into Namine for the 5PM Kingdom Hearts shoot
-run back to my room immediately afterwards and change into Ayame again and hope that I can still get judged for the hall cosplay contest (judging is supposed to start at 5, too ^_^;;)
-by then I suspect I’ll be sick of costume changes and will most likely just wear one of my costume dresses sans accessories for the rest of the night XD;
Saturday:
-Ayame for another Fruits Basket shoot at noon and, if I can’t make it into the Friday one, hall cosplay at 1PM; I’ll have to wear it to masquerade rehearsal in the morning, too. I’m going to look odd waving my nyosen fan around… XD;
-change into my Youka costume in time for mid-afternoon craftsmanship judging and the masquerade
Sunday:
-Tohru for cosplay chess
Hmm… I really should try to be a bit more talkative this time around. I probably don’t sound it from babbling here all the time but I tend to be rather reserved in person and usually feel awkward talking to new people. ^_^; I usually end up wandering alone most of the time at cons as a result. My brother and his two friends are coming with me but they don’t cosplay and I expect they’ll probably go off on their own most of the time. Anyone care to join me for dinner on Friday? I figure my brother and his pals will go out to eat on their own and I’m not planning to go to the concert so it’ll be a quiet evening for me.
And for something completely unrelated to the rest of this post… “The Light in the Piazza” is being broadcast on PBS tomorrow night on “Live From Lincoln Center.” Must remember to watch since I never went out to see that musical.
