Baked some cupcakes yesterday and added in bits of orange gummy candy but they sank to the bottom. ^_^; They tasted okay though.
I had no plans for today so I thought it would end up being a day of sitting at home and maybe watching some Scooby Doo or Ghost Hunt episodes. Suddenly, my mother said this morning she wanted to go to the mall. So, I ended up throwing on my Japanese print dress from Sakura Matsuri since I figured I should at least wear something cute. Considered randomly wearing a purple wig with it but didn’t since I wasn’t sure how it would look. I hadn’t planned on going out so I didn’t have the time or inclination to actually put on a real cosplay on such short notice. >_>; Saw kids trick or treating around the mall and bought a needlework-themed mystery novel that’s set at Halloween.
Coincidentally, I also just made it to the Pumpkin Festival in my Harvest Moon game. The kids in the game come to your farm for candy on the 31st day of fall so it’s basically the Harvest Moon version of Halloween. :-D
