Weekend stuff

ladyofthethreadMy grandmother’s 90th birthday was over the weekend and we went out for dinner all our relatives on Saturday night. Lots of food and leftovers!
After nearly two weeks, the last of my cold is finally gone. (About time! >_>) There were only a few days when it was really bad but the sniffles and coughing just kept lingering.
I’ve been doing a bit of work on the appliques for the Count D costume. I bought a yard each of pink and blue a few weeks ago since I wanted to experiment with them a bit first before I got all 15-20 yards. So, I started cutting out some appliques and figuring out how I’m going to paint the designs for the appliques that need it. I started painting the water designs but decided I didn’t like any of the blues I was able to mix with the paints I had on hand so that’ll have to wait until I go shopping. Have also been planning out applique placement on paper so I can refer to it when I do have my fabric. Hoping to take advantage of the warm weather and go fabric shopping within the next couple of days.
I wonder if I can get this wearable by AB. The actual sewing shouldn’t be too bad and I don’t really have any weekend plans until the con. The appliques are going to be time consuming though. I suppose I’ll keep working on it and see how far along I am the weekend before AB. If I have the sleeves and front appliquéd by then, I might just sew it up and add onto the back later.
