So, some of you might recall the problems I had before Costume Con with the sleeves on the mockup for Ekaterina’s jacket pulling and causing wrinkles in the back despite a few attempts to fix it. From a closeup and one of the main screencaps I was using for reference, it looked like the sleeve was supposed to have some extra fullness and stand up a little at the cap. Which was why I was trying to combine the sleeve from one pattern with the body of another.
Today, I was getting ready to try again with the pattern and decided to rewatch those few scenes to check some details. And then I realized, the sleeve looks like a normal sleeve in nearly every shot. And in the main pic I was referring to, it just looked like it was a weird sleeve because of the way the veil from the hat overlapped her shoulder. The only part where it actually looks like it stands up a bit at the cap is that closeup. So, all of that stress several months ago was for nothing. X_X If I’d realized it then, I could possibly have finished it for Costume Con like I originally wanted!
