Cosplay meme

I’ve been seeing this all over my friends list today and it’s interesting to see what people’s early costumes were.

Post your first cosplay (that you have pictures of) and your most recent cosplay to see how you've improved.



Probably not the best comparison since Eugenie was relatively simple compared to some of the other things I’ve made. ^_^; Kaiba was thrown together since I made the coat for my own wardrobe rather than cosplay and I only made a couple of accessories specifically for the costume; the black clothes were just bought. I actually made the coat from an early 20th Century duster pattern in a sewing class at Parsons and then realized I picked similar colors to one of his outfits. XD; And I threw in a costume I made before I got into anime since I already could sew decently by the time I did get into anime cosplay. I think that was the first costume I really made although I used to sometimes sew random pieces like a cape that didn’t go with anything.

WOW! you really improved alot in your cosplay. though I don't think I would do this meme since I only made like 2 costumes and some plushies and cosplay props

Thanks! I'd be happy to show you some sewing stuff sometime if you'd like (since I keep bugging you with makeup questions). :-) I think some of the things I do are really just time consuming rather than that difficult.

That's true! It has been awhile since I last saw you! My next con is going to be Otakon, I hope to see you there ^_^

Aww... I doubt I'm going to Otakon this year. Starting at the beginning of May, I'm going to Costume Con, Anime Boston, and AnimeNext. And those are all within a month and a half so I don't think I or my wallet could take another expensive con the month after. x_x; Sorry. I hope I'll run into you again eventually!

aww! I'm not even sure about Anime Next (is in the location where Manga Next was and I did not like going there, but it was really pretty)
