Costume progress

ladyofthethreadHmm… I haven’t been very good about updating lately, have I? ^_^;
Thanks to those of you who gave input on the fabric last time. I went fabric shopping with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ifuritaoni last Saturday and he helped me pick out a new blue then. I’m glad he was there to help and insisted on getting swatches at different places (I’m lazy and usually just go by memory. >_>;) since some shades which looked decent in the store were really washed out and/or way too shiny after we took them outside. Bought more silk shangtung, this time in turquoise.
I got started on my petticoat last weekend and it’s nuts. I hemmed about 24 yards of ruffle for the bottom o_o; and the thing is big enough for me to sit down with the fabric spread around me in a circle, which should make for some nice pictures. I’ve been working on the bows, too, and they’re almost done. Maybe, I’ll post progress pictures next time. Will probably start on the dress this weekend.
