No purple miniskirt for me! :-P

Saw this meme pop up on my friends list a few times and was curious what people would suggest.

Tell me two things you think I should cosplay: One you think I would really like, and one you think I might never consider in a million years but might be suited for!

And since no one seemed up to guessing last time, here’s the YGO character I’m going to do for AnimeNext. Yes, I’m going to be Cecelia/Cyndia, Pegasus’s dead wife! (Even though I wasn’t really a Pegasus fan when I was into the series. ^_^;)

It’s been a long time so there wasn’t anyone I especially wanted to cosplay anymore although I’d tossed around the idea of doing Mai. [profile] novaraven was trying to convince me to be Isis but I just found her wardrobe to be blah since I usually like more colorful things. Then, I finally remembered Cecelia and settled on doing her since novaraven is making Pegasus and I’d have more fun making that dress than the other things we were discussing. Plus, I figured it might be cheaper and easier since I won’t need to buy purple boots or mess with patterns much. ^_^;; Not planning to compete with this one and I’ll probably only wear it when requested for a group.

The one I think you would really like: Anything from Trinity Blood, man. I haven't seen much of the series, but the costumes are craaaazy awesome.

The one I think you might never consider in a million years but might be suited for: Marguerite, from the Scarlet Pimpernel. XP

Oooh, that's really awesome! ^^ Cecelia cosplayers aren't around much, I don't think. She needs love!

And interesting meme. X3 I'll have to think about that; I don't always pay attention to the characters' wardrobes. XD; Hmm ... Maya Fey from Phoenix Wright? http://www.rpgfan.com/pics/phoenix_wright/art-003.jpg

Hmm.. still thinking of something you would be suited for but you probably wouldn't consider. I'll probably have to come back to this one.

Something you might like though is Bride of the Water God: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bride_of_the_Water_God

Can I post your meme on my own page?

Yeah, Trinity Blood is awesome costume-wise and I love looking at nice cosplays from it. ^_^ I've been reading the manga since my sister buys it but I just can't get into the story that much so I don't think I'll actually ever cosplay from it. ^_^;; Loving the series is usually one of the biggest factors in whether I'll cosplay something.

LOL And Marguerite has nice costumes, too, although I didn't like her as much character-wise. I always felt she wasn't really as brilliant as she was said to be, especially in the books. I'd rather be Marie since she got to help the Pimpernel which I think is awesome. But unfortunately, she doesn't really have distinctive costumes. XD;

Yeah, I'm not sure if anyone has ever bothered to cosplay Cecelia since she only appears in flashbacks and the portraits. Searching at the three big American cosplay sites turned up nothing for her. (Hmm... Although if you think about it, she kind of causes all the modern stuff in YGO since Pegasus went to Egypt after her death and invented Duel Monsters as a result. Plus, he wanted to take over KaibaCorp because of her. XD;)

Ah, I've had some friends cosplay from Phoenix Wright. I think I've heard the game is for the Nintendo DS, which I don't have, so I've never actually played it myself though. ^_^;;

Hadn't heard of that series before but the picture does look pretty. I've had the thought that it would be fun to do a fancy headdress sometime but I haven't found a costume I want to make that has one yet.

Sure, you can post the meme. :-) I saw it in several friends' entries the other day so I assume it's been making it's way around. No idea who actually originated it.

I originally bought book one for the eye candy, but it turned out the story was interesting! Vol 2 is out now, though I haven't seen it on the shelves yet; I hope the story continues. It seems like a promising series. Someday in the future, I'm interested in trying one of the designs from this, but that project will have to take a number just like all the others floating in my head! :)
